Ciciclicamente torno a cianciare sul tema blog (d'altronde su un blog stiamo, oh!) e, considerando che ridendo e scherzando da queste parti faccio mediamente almeno una trentina di post l'anno
File Garden seems to be a decent alternative to Google Drive and Dropbox. It is a file managing and sharing website that emphasizes on simplicity. Although it has a random link redirector and an image corruptor, these additional features will be rarely utilized (at least for me). I want to use that site to put the...

Set ideologies aside The flocking crows shall guide you to look skyward where the travelling Sun paints its November skies I wrote this in the context of my journal entry Slowing down and appreciating the little things (2025-11-05).
.myDiv { text-align:left; background-color:; padding-top: 10px; padding-left: 14px; padding-right: 14px; padding-bottom: 10px; } Two facts about me: I was born with an extra rib. I like The Smiths. Music has always been the go-to medium for me to figure out an emotion. Listening to the Smiths feels like a hand...

From my experience, every product will eventually want to export some messages or generate a report and it obviously needs to be a PDF. Primarily working with C# these days, it’s a recurring quest to find a good PDF rendering solution for .NET. Quest Unlocked! Naturally, I first started looking for permissively...
I use the almighty ffmpeg a lot to convert, edit, and tag my personal media. This is a living document of my most used command line recipes. Setting Metadata ffmpeg -i in.mkv -map 0 \ -metadata title="…" -metadata:s:v:0 title="…" \ -metadata:s:a:0 title="English" -metadata:s:a:0 language="en" \ -metadata:s:a:1...
Yesterday, I drove to Champaign-Urbana for the Illinois men’s home basketball opener. Because I’m going to the CSO concert tonight, I stayed here overnight. When I started my car this morning, CarPlay connected to my phone and offered to give me directions home. Snort.

Day 40: What is the most scared you have ever been? Can you write about it? The most scared I’ve ever been was probably the second year I was working at the game company. We got off work late and it had been snowing. Since I was a transplant, the car I was driving was only rear wheel drive. In any case, I left work...
Ha! I didn’t even notice the date, or how the time has simply flown by. The 7th of October marked my third year of blogging; where exactly the time has gone, I cannot say. This started off as a little bit of fun and here I am, still posting crap! Well, it certainly has been fun, and that is all that matters. I’ve...
Previously. I decided to add a new copy script to pancake to standardize copying command output and files to the system clipboard in both macOS and Linux. The idea was originally inspired by Evan Hahn: copy and pasta are simple wrappers around system clipboard managers, like pbcopy on macOS and xclip on Linux. I use...
At the end of October, 2015 I made five predictions about “the state of philosophy in ten years.” How was my forecasting? Let’s take a look. Below are my predictions, along with my verdict for each, in bold text. (You can check out the original post with its predictions here.) 1. Philosophy’s popularity as a major...

You've slain me. On your quest to rise up the Bearblog Trending mountain, you had to go past me. As your final hit rains down on me and my HP bar depletes, my body pulsates on the floor and slowly evaporates. What I leave behind are the following items: ☁️☁️☁️ Matcha Drink Powdered green tea beverage with a nutty,...
Apple iTunes, the Rip Mix Burn advert, 2001; via YouTube (video embedded below). The year 2001 began with optimism — in January, Wikipedia debuted and Apple launched iTunes. But by year’s end the mood had shifted. The dot-com crash had drained Silicon Valley’s exuberance, Napster was being dismantled in court, and...

The Rot, by Indigenous Australian author Evelyn Araluen (Instagram page), follows up 2021’s Dropbear, which won the 2022 Stellar Prize. The Rot is a recalcitrant study of the decaying romances, expired hopes and abject injustices of the world. A liturgy for girlhood in the dying days of late-stage capitalism, these...
My 2.3 readers may remember I spent the summer doing Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way. One point she covers throughout the 12-week process is "synchronicity," or the idea that when you're on the right path artistically, things just sort of line up for you. Every week's reflection questions included "did you...
Hi, this is an Italian content. You can read it translated into English by clicking here.Questa cosa, quella di andare a leggere i post del giorno come quello di ieri ma del 2021, questa cosa mi ha fatto ricordare che una volta, solo pochi anni fa, una volta il focus di questo blog era anche un altro. Adesso, se mi...
All I have to say is that, unless you’re mom is a horrible person (there are cases like that, we all know it), you should listen to your mom. As you get older, you will find over and over again, that most of the time your mom was right about things big and small. I’m not saying my mom has always been right, but...

This afternoon, somehow I found myself reading an article titled, “I Deleted My Second Brain,” something I didn’t need to do because I’m not on the second-brain, efficient note-taking for productivity and creativity and everything-in-your-life-will-be-fine-if-you-figure-out-the-perfect-note-taking-system boat. After...

Bookmarked “How We Use GitHub Issues and How That’s Changing”: An Eleventy blog post published on November 2025. I historically haven’t used GitHub discussions much but I like this process Zach (on the 11ty project) and Cory LaViska are recommending. Often feature requests need refinement before they can be made...
Press F to pay respect. One of my drives stopped spinning and now my raid-0 2-drive media volume is no more. The 6TB WD-Red spun it's last spin yesterday, after 5 years of non stop service. Yes, all of my totally legit movies and series are lost, like tears in rain. Redundancy may not be backup, but it still costs...
This will be the home base for my new CybersecKyle Security How-To Series. It is a library of practical guides. Each guide ships a small download and a quick way to prove your changes worked. This roadmap is a working plan. I will adjust as I go, based on feedback along the way. My goal is to make security skills...
Mice have always been a really special topic for me. Ever since I was a kid I wanted a Logitech mouse. Specifically, the G502. Logitech always had quality in my books – and I always trusted them with every peripheral imaginable. They’ve proven themselves that, even with gimmicks, they never fail delivering timeless...
October 2025. Leicester. A large gap (well, 3 hours) between pubs now as Mrs RM does a deep dive into her map of Leicester tourist deers (above), which I ignore and instead take photos of painted Cliff Richard albums, and colourful globes in Victoria Park, which I know are more interesting than the car park…...
Technically, zuihitsu are longer reflections than what I tend to collect. But, the general idea is right. Here’s this month’s installment. If you want the complete set, please download the fortune file.
I share some CSS themes: Nebula I and II are simple, minimal classless CSS themes designed to look like Gemtext from the Project Gemini web protocol.
