Greetings, wanderer! You've reached my personal homepage. Let me introduce myself: I'm Michał, a middle-aged nerd from southern Poland who can't grow a beard to save his life. Beardlessness is a problem amongst older nerd crowds, so instead I have an old school, static website. The maximize the street cred, this site is fully self-hosted and self-built In fact, you are talking directly to my home server located in the living room. The HTML you are processing is generated by my custom Python SSR and is written in Vim.

Here you can find some of my cyberpals (internet friends) and other people I enjoy following. I try to link their sites and social media, but since I use only Mastodon, then this is the one I will use. I limit this list to people who participate in the indie/small web movement so everyone will have at last one site

Not much has changed After crossing the 40th mark. I have always had strong grandpa energy. And while I still don't sleep for 5 hours a day (between 8PM and midnight, of course), I still to do my best at channeling the inner grandpa vibe. What is grandpa energy? Well, I always liked "old" things. This means I can't...
Vim may have a great manual, but wouldn't it be nice to have an advanced tutorial? Ask anyone about a good book, and they will enter make a funny face in the shape of Microsoft Visual Studio Code, or imminently shout Practical Vim. I, surprisingly, have bought it on two separate occasions: once as a deadtree, and...
I finished a game. Not an old one, from 10 years; not even from a few years back - this one was released in 2025. Ba! It was released this very month. I am now one of the cool, hip, trendy kids. I enjoy the new thing. And if Gozer the Gozerian asks me "are you a gamer?" I will have to reply "yes". If someone asks me...
After a series of questionable episodes, this one finally lands on all fronts. Half a season ago Voyager got a way to contact Earth. Now they received their first messages for crew members, and Doctor learns that his creator is dying. He assumes that he can save him (of course) and is allowed to travel back to...
Kes is back! This is not a drill: Kes is back! If there is one thing, the entire humanity can agree is that Kes and Neelix were the worst aspect of early Voyager. Each of them on their own, were not bad (ok, Neelix needed few seasons) but together? Oh, what a terrible couple. And then Kes had her story arc and left....
NieR: Replicant is a distant continuation of an older series - Drakengard. No, I also never heard about it. NieR: Automata is a distand sequel of the NieR: Replicant. This one I even played! Replicant is a terrible action game which forced the poor player to finish it multiple times to tell it's mind-blowing story....
This is the novel I started reading the Hainish Cycle for. Often said to be on the greatest ever, a gem, a masterpiece. So far, the ride has been a bit disappointing, but The Left Hand of Darkness lives to the hype. Heck! It's often considered to be the other novel about inhabitants of a transsexual planet (the...
