I don’t usually check analytics on my website, but the hosting I use on Vercel does provide the ability to check referrals, and I have to admit, every once in a while I enjoy to see those! It’s not because I am obsessed with people who visit my website (although I kind of am), or because I want to write according to...

A couple weeks ago I got an email from a guy named Oleh, mentioning that they added me to a new website/project called Pixel Area, it is a 100x100 field of pixels, each of which can link to the blog or personal website of whoever claims it first. My spider senses tingled, because the email’s writing felt cold and...

When was the last time you were standing somewhere public, took the phone out of your pocket, scrolled on some app for a while, and then left it, and moved on? When was the last time you did that while still walking? perhaps almost crashing on someone in front of you? Even if you haven’t done that yourself—I’m very...

As my blog has developed over time, somehow I ended up writing about reading, videogames and technology above all, but the J in my logo is themed after folded paper for a reason. I love origami! And it was about time I wrote about it some more. My story with it and the like will have to wait for later, at the...

Scrolling through the timeline, these are only a few of the things I’ve seen today, people on different perspectives and paths, perhaps someone… That finally managed to fix their printer after a system update Talking about seeing someone else make a funny typo Sharing their progress on a software project Letting...

Back in May I decided to participate in the challenge mentioned in the title. From May 25 to September 7 (Memorial and Labour Day in the US), the goal was to make a list of at least ten games, and try to beat a minimum of four before the due date. As a Mexican, I gave myself some extra time, until September 16,...

Make sure to read the first adventure of this journey!. Six months after the first campaign. We finally sat around the table once again, and played Land of Eem! for the second time. We had set a couple of dates before to meet up, and even a session zero where some of my players made new characters, but we didn’t get...

It’s been a whole year now since Hollow Knight: Silksong finally released, and it has been a delightful journey. I wasn’t there for a lot of the hype around it, I was more than happy playing Hollow Knight in the span of a year or so, and beat it only a few days after Silksong was finally released to the public on...

For a little while I have been using YouTube way more, and even paid for the Lite subscription model, simply to test it out. Honestly, it hasn’t been too bad, and I actually really, really enjoy a lot of the videos I’ve gotten through the algorithm. But of course, YouTube Shorts have caught up with me and continue...

Don’t worry, I can connect to Wi-Fi networks, I just lost mobile data access and phone calls with my current SIM chip. You see, the silly government of my beautiful country decided that the best way to stop scam, blackmail and other crimes via phone calls would be to force everyone into registering their phone...

My parents are great, but they are also of a different generation, and despite the amount of people around their age that I’ve met online that somehow align with many of my hobbies, everyone is different, and well, that’s the case for them. Something I admire about my mom is how she still learns, she studies a lot...

You have probably heard of this one, it is an award winning title that came out around 2019 and has been making the rounds as one of the best videogames of all time. I had heard of it when it came out, often confused with Outer Worlds which came out in the same year, but other than it being about exploring space, I...
