Last Sunday, we took part in what may very well be our last Kärwa in Fürth. It was fun as always, and I took hundreds of snapshot — including a terrible, blurry one of Brütsch Mopetta.
Even though the weather is still pretty mild for the time of the year, it's not as much fun to bike to NUE and spend time there, waiting for airplanes. It's not cold, but no matter how much clothes you wear, when you stand still for a while, you start freezing at some point. It feels like the humid air slowly sips...
Last Friday was a public holiday, so we decided to spend the day at NUE. The highlight of the day promised to be a Luftwaffe Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules (reg. 55+01).
A while ago, I scored a couple of super cheap Fujitsu Futro S-series thin clients that I now use to self-host my own homemade applications. To keep an eye on them, I wanted to use a lightweight monitoring tool, and after some lazy research, I decided on Beszel.

But if you don’t have either of these, and you still want to monitor and analyze air traffic in your vicinity, Sky scraper now has you covered. The...
A weekend with good weather means bike rides to NUE and days spent capturing airplanes. My catch last weekend wasn’t all that impressive. The only interesting addition to my library was a Learjet 75 operated by Polish Air Ambulance (reg. SP-MXS) that I caught on Monday.
Last Monday, I finally managed to capture a Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules exactly the way I wanted it.
Saturday before last, we went on a road trip with our friends to the Technik Museum Speyer . Of course, I was looking to see their airplane collection that included an An-22 and a variety of other vintage airplanes.
