Today is our third annual Garden Party. We had the first one to celebrate rebuilding the garden and had so much fun that we decided t do one every year. You should be able to see things going on all day on the web cam and I will make sure it's on during the night as well as we tend to finish late. Hopefully tomorrow...
! I received a pre release copy of The Dead Milkmens new album, Now We Are 20 from Dean today. I'm quite excited as there is a quote from me reproduced in the sleeve notes from when I was a roadie with the band! If you have never heard the Dead Milkmen, and they are not that well known in the UK despite touring here...
I have read a lot about the '419' Nigerian e-mail scams and have received three in the past two years but this morning I recived two new scam e-mails in my inbox. My head must be above the parapit because of my interview on BBC Radio Derby on Tuesday Morning! Then again... Here are the two e-mails in full. If you...
I was there! What great fun that was! I have written an article for Flashmob.co.uk about the event - please go and read it and make comment if you will! There were a couple of TV crews so I may be on TV tommorow. There was meant to be a documentary team following me around but they didn't bother to ring me in time....
Steve Krug is bringing his usability workshop Don't Make Me Think: Learn to Think Like a Usability Expert in Eight Hours or Less to London on the 5th September! If you have not heard of Steve he's the thinking mans Jacob Neilsen and wrote the most excellent book "Don't Make Me Think" which is a must read if you...
Bitter news that a train driver was kiiled on one of the best run Railways in Britain . Full story over at the Beeb.
Just been to the Red Bull Flugtag in Hyde Park. Over 200,000 people according to the policeman on one of the many closed gates. On the way home we were sitting on the train waiting to leave Victoria when I noticed that the staff member on the platform overseeing the departure of the train, the ones that bellow...
I have put together a new Flashmob site dedicated to events in the UK and launched it yesterday. I imagine it may still take a few hours before the domain name has got around all the servers in the world so if you can't get through please do try again later. The site hopefully will have many contributors - unlike...
I read about Flashmobs and thought what a crazy but brilliant idea. A Flashmob is where an apparently inexplicable mob of people gather for a few minutes, something occurs and then they disperse. To the general public these events must appear absurd! To the participants they are brilliant fun. The participants, who...
I finally got round to adding the favicon back into the site. I used to have one a long time ago but it was pants. You should be able to see the fav icon in the address bar above - a little picture of me! If you bookmark the site the favicon will reside beside the bookmark. Favicons are 'favorites icons' - icons...
Hollywood are bringing out a set of trailers to be shown in cinemas to combat file sharing of movies. The trailers show the human plight and suffering in the industry caused by file sharing movies - the carpenters and stagehands who's children go without shoes. What a pathetic campaign! Firstly the file sharing...
Over the past few months I kept hearing a bizarre but brilliant song on XFM and its grew on me. So much so that I just went out and bought the album - Permission to land by the UK's most outrageous new rock band The Darkness. Everything harks back to the golden era of heavy British rock - so much so that I have...
